It's like Christmas. It used to be that the stores would start showing Christmas stuff only after Thanksgiving. Then a week before Thanksgiving. Then a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. Then at the beginning of November. Then at Halloween. This year, it was the middle of October. Pretty soon, it'll be all year long.

These young whippersnappers!

Wow, Kris, how long have you been on HRT? I want to say it's been a while, but it seems like from the photos you posted a few months ago to now you're ticking the "female" box in my lizard brain a lot more effortlessly now.

And yes, that hair is downright Rapunzelian, which is a word I just invented.

I started HRT three months ago! Here's what I looked like then. See how beardy? That was after my first laser session:
Image

Here's me a couple days ago, with store-bought hair. Three laser sessions done, and I can mostly cover what's left with foundation and concealer. That killer shade of lipstick is Viva Glam by MAC:
Image

And here's me last night, with very little makeup and my natural hair, and the "Lilah" necklace my friend bought for me at the airport gift shop. Not sure why I look grumpy (probably my hair is in the awkwardest of growing-out phases). You can see where the beard is really intransigent, around the sides of my chin.
Image

I don't really see any changes from HRT yet. But I'ma keep at it. And I look pretty in my own way. No time for haters.

The difference is night and day, Lilah ! From the cold, rainy, freezing chill of nighttime as a male, to that of a warm, pleasant, cheerful nice day of that of a nice looking female. Wow !

BTW---Keep using wigs until you hair grows out much more.

About two years. There aren't that many changes from the last time I posted pictures, but one of my most masculinizing traits is the subtle effects of electrolysis on my face. When my face is shown in higher resolution, with more directional lighting, and from certain angles, it's more apparent. You can't really see it in these photos. Someday it will mostly be a non-issue.

Alternatively, I'll take the affirmation. Those stupid computer facial recognition things are starting to peg me as female more often, but your primordial grey matter is probably a more meaningful measure. At least until AI overlords come to rule us all -- then I'll care what machines thing. Wouldn't want to be enslaved and misgendered.

And yes, that hair is downright Rapunzelian, which is a word I just invented.

A scientist measured its Rapunzelocity factor at 1.58, which is just above the threshold for being clinically Rapunzelian.

hi From noticing how my transsexuality has changed my body to be more feminine Ive realized where my hair is supposed to be . I mean how long my hair can be before I realize that I have long hair; which is to my chin .

Thanks Lilah :) , I fell in love with it at first sight. It was surprisingly inexpensive (under $15). I bought it online from www.fishpond.com.au. Here's a link to it but it is currently out of stock but there's a button that requests they email you when it becomes available again.

or here's another similar set I was considering, sold by the same merchant.

Thanks Illy, I guess something good must be happening. I got what I'd call a backhanded compliment at the function I went to. I was sitting chatting with a couple of other trans women when this drunk guy ambles up to us, spilling his beer, and starts talking to us, but he keeps saying he's a bit uncomfortable because he's not used to interacting with trans people but he's not judging (groan). Anyhow, I quickly get Jack of his company, so after 5 minutes I get up to go mingle elsewhere. This guy then asks me if I'm moving because of him and in the next breath asks me if I was ever a man...Arrrrgh! (don'tcha just love a pissed up bogan?) So at least he wasn't sure about me out of the 3 of us.

Had to take my photo at work yesterday, and I noticed Christmas eating caught up with me, a little. That's okay.

Snapchat also caught up with me after ignoring it for so long. It's kinda creepy... but sometimes I still kinda like it.

You two! You got me giggling! See stuff like that brings out the imp in me.. now I wonder what kind of hidden camera system I would need to capture the elusive Kris smile. Would it need to be some David Attenborough-esque naturalist study? Perhaps hiding out near you favorite poutine restaurant? Anyway enough silliness.. everyone here looks amazing so very jelly.

Where did you get that waist, Kris? Did hormones do that, or do you just naturally have a female hip-to-waist ratio? Regardless, you have a really cute figure.

Thanks. Some of it is my normal body shape -- even when I was nearly underweight, I always had a bit of fat there. Some of it is hrt. Some of it is putting on quite a few pounds over the holidays.

I do need to drop the extra weight because I have a mild medical issue which could become worse if I don't pay attention to diet and exercise. My plan is to try to burn some of the fat, and try to do some leg exercises for my thighs and glutes to round them out. Slim the waist and keep a bit of curviness. Maybe even increase it from some angles.

Now i just need a way to do this all without it requiring effort.

Judging all the little girl's ice skating at the annual ISI ice skating competition in Youngstown, Ohio. This is how I was dressed when on the judges stand, during competition. The sheets of results of who got the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, and fourth and fifth place ribbons, are posted on the wall in the background.

For some reason you look really good in a beanie Lilah, don't know why - I suppose it rounds things out and in that way makes it look very feminine? I don't know, but I never thought I'd say this in my life: Lilah, you're a dish in that beanie.

I think this is the first time I've seen a picture of you not skating. It's nice to see the off ice version of you as well, (though I do like seeing your ponytails spin out in your skating pic).

My annoying phone in selfie mode will smooth skin tones to death. I finally got the specialty battery for the remote for my wireless trigger/interval timer and repaired the cheap electronics in my ring light. So I will try and take something sharper tonight.

I try not to to encourage unspectacled inclinations, but you pull off not wearing glasses pretty well. I can't quite make out the pendant at this resolution. Is it a set of metal rings interlaced?

Your nails make me think I should actually try to take care of mine.

Yea, two blue rings, two pink rings and one white ring woven into each other. It has been my anchor for months now which I hid under my shirts but wear openly now. I am looking for some bracelets to add as well likely more little tokens though to be honest I would rather have some earrings if I could decide.

I have been so surprised nobody has come to me asking what is going on with me as my nails and hair are rapidly exiting masculine territory and I try and keep my voice in a higher tone (nothing great just talking sweeter). Everyone seems to think I am reveling in my inner hippy my response has been lately: Not really I just have wanted long hair for a very long time. (Forgetting to mention the other things I have wanted as well. It is right up there with my "I am trying to deal with a problem I have hidden from since childhood" I gave to the two times a coworkers have caught be openly balling. I guess I should be happy I am surrounded by IT guys who are mostly oblivious and disinterested in emotional entanglements.) I am half tempted to wear these wonderful skinny bootcut jeans in to work tomorrow but I for the life of me I have not been able to decide on a good ambiguous wallet replacement as these pockets are good for a credit card or two and that's it.

I need to get a longer USB cable or maybe I can rig one of the tablets to be a live view feed so I can shoot myself faster.. I am tempted to do a shot of me doing "Somebody is wrong on the internet!"

You look good, Carolyn. Continue to experiment with your fashion style and look, you are off to a good start !

I am looking for some bracelets to add as well likely more little tokens though to be honest I would rather have some earrings if I could decide.

That is how I started out. First, a necklace hidden, then openly displayed. Usually a Hello Kitty or a My Little Pony necklace, though I have also worn a snowflake, a flower, etc. Then I added on bracelets, and finally earrings and makeup.

I am half tempted to wear these wonderful skinny bootcut jeans in to work tomorrow; but I for the life of me I have not been able to decide on a good ambiguous wallet replacement as these pockets are good for a credit card or two and that's it.

Again, good for you ! It takes a while to work up to it, but I also occasionally wear skinny jeans, but more likely leggings and a tunic top. Maybe you can too, if you like.

As far as tiny pockets go, a while ago I was blown away with envy when I saw a twentysomething girl wearing skin-tight leggings, with tiny back pockets, and a cell phone squeezed into such a tiny back pocket, right on the side of her cheeks, on her behind.

Thanks Cute! I'm sitting here at work in my new clothes a little anxious but happy. Sure I am in my crazy Hawaiian chilli pepper shirt boring skinny girl jeans and rainbow tie dye classic mario vans sneakers. I find it amusing that the only thing that I got a comment on was a long time coworker who saw my hair and apparently just realized how long it is now that I am not bothering to glue it down.

It's a shame you don't wear glasses though because the streak is over. D:

I actually need reading glasses but have been in denial..

Here is today me trying on some new jeans.. I think these are keepers. And you a nice close up so you can see my all my pores and lazy makeup work in 18 megapixel glory.

Goodness I can get jealous at how pretty everyone is on this forum.

The jeans do look nice, and I don't know if it is your pose or your face or both but you have a real proper "esteemed lady"-look going that is downright fantastic.

Thanks so much! That pose is me fliting between my live view on my monitor and keeping my hand on my keyboard to trigger the camera's shutter. Normally I like taking pictures of things you never bother with (like dew or a bug on a leaf in some formal garden) or people just being themselves. Even wanting to take a picture of myself is something new for me. I need to get back into it really.. I promise in a month to have better shots as I will have an awesome man helping me.

You look great! That said I wish I could go without destroying my nails every 5 seconds. My feet are only nails I can keep nice for any period of time.

Snapchat also caught up with me after ignoring it for so long. It's kinda creepy... but sometimes I still kinda like it.
